  1. Day 01 Arrive in Chengdu, be met at the airport, transfer to hotel. O/N in Chengdu.

    If time permits, visit the Kuanxiangzi (wide lane) and Zhaixiangzi (narrow lane), it used to be home to officials in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties and are among the city’s cultural heritage sites still intact today. Originally, single-story houses and courtyards featured the specialty of the area. To relive the taste of local life years ago, teahouses and folk arts are readily found in the area while displays of the lifestyle, dialects, food and customs of Chengdu in the past will be reinstated in museums. As an option in the evening(200CNY extra), enjoy a wonderful variety show of “Face changing” and “Flame Spitting – Out” of Sichuan Opera.

  2. Day 02 Chengdu Panda Base and Sanxindui Museum O/N in Chengdu

    Visit The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in the morning. It is located in the northern suburb of Chengdu on Futou Hill about 10 km from downtown Chengdu. Giant pandas live in large naturalistic habitats, which help the visitor to understand how these animals live in the wild. The Research Base is one of the important centers in China for the captive conservation of giant pandas. After lunch, we drive 40km to visit Sanxindui Museum, it is situated in the northeastern part of the state-protected Sanxindui ruin by the bank of the Yazi Rive. Two large sacrificial pits were found in 1986 boast the most important archaeological finds on the Sanxindui Ruins for the past half century. The exposure of a large number of spectacular relics created a great sensation, making the Sanxindui site well known to the world.

  3. Day 03 Chengdu - Jinsha Ruins Museum - Wolong O/N in Wolong

    Visit Chengdu Jinsha Ruins Museum, it exhibits the splendid culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom 3,000 years ago, modifying previous assumptions about the origins of the Chinese civilization. Over 6,000 pieces of cultural relics with sophisticated craftsmanship, like carved jade, gold, bronze, stone, and ivory artifacts, have been unearthed at the Jinsha Ruins. Historians believe they are the remains of the ancient Shu Kingdom mentioned in stories of the Qin and Han dynasties. The discovery is considered by local archaeologists as one of the most important finds in the region’s history.
    From downtown Chengdu, it takes about 4 hours to get to Wolong. Upon arrival in Wolong, check into the hotel.

  4. Day 04 Tracing wild giant panda in Panda valley of Wolong Nature Reserve O/N in Wolong

    Wolong Panda Valley, originally called Heroes or Hero Valley, locates in Wolong Nature Reserve, is this only place to trace or track wild pandas and carry out scientific surveys and observation in panda research, Wolong, Sichuan. The Valley is about 3.2 km and about 2050-2800m above sea level.

  5. Day 05 Wolong - Dujiangyan Irrigation System – Mt. Qingcheng O/N in hotel on the foot of Mt. Qingchengshan

    Visit to the Giant Panda Research Base, funded by WWF (World Wildlife Fund). This base is home to around 40 pandas living in captivity in order to carry out research into their breeding and living habits. Continue on to the Giant Panda Museum, which comprehensively and graphically displays information relating to pandas as well as the flora and fauna of this area. then, we drive to Mt. Qingchengshan. On the way, visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System , a UNESCO cultural heritage site, which has benefited the Chengdu Plain for around 2260 years.

  6. Day 06 Visit Mt. Qingchengshan, back to Chengdu O/N in Chengdu.

    Today, hiking to the summit of Mt. Qingchengshan in the morning. Qingcheng Mountain is the birth place and headstream of Chinese Taoism. the initiator of Taoism,Zhang Taoling in the end of East Han Dynasty, came to Qingcheng Mountain to instruct Taoism from Shanxi. there still go round supernatural stories describing how he fighted hard with devils,how the ”Brush Pen Groove” and the ” Three Island Stone” formed. Since Jin Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, there are many Taoist Temples with flourishing burning incense.Then drive back to Chengdu

  7. Day 07 Chengdu - Lhasa O/N in Lhasa

    Fly to the roof of the world, Tibet is truly beyond your imagination. The blue sky, the highest mountain, lake and train, religious people, harmony between people and nature will give you a deep impression. Pickup and transfer to hotel in Lhasa . In order to acclimatize to the high altitude. No program will be arranged for the rest of the day

  8. Day 08 Lhasa city sightseeing: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Market O/N in Lhasa

    An extraordinary day of sightseeing shows the spectacular architecture at the world famous Potala Palace. Former home of the Dalai Lama, its massive 1000-room structure towers over this mountain city. The tour is followed by Jokhang Temple . Then visit famous Barkhor Market, where you can shop for rare Tibetan items.

  9. Day 09 Lhasa -100km 1.5hrs- Yangbacheng Hot spring -150km 2.5hrs- Namutso lake -250km 3.5hrs Lhasa O/N in Lhasa

    Drive to Yangbacheng Hot spring 92km north of Lhasa, view the Northern Tibet grassland and NyanchengTanggula Snow Mountain on the way. Continue to Namutso lake, one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet, called “Heavenly lake”. Taking photo, yak riding lakeside, then back to Lhasa.

  10. Day 10 Lhasa -110km 2.5hrs- Yamdroktso - 150km 2.5hrs- Gyantse –100km 1.5hrs- Shigatse O/N in Shigatse

    Yamdroktso(4441m), one of Tibet’s three holy lakes, is located 110km outside of Lhasa. It’s mostly mountain road, winding and bumpy, even thrilling somewhat. After about 3 1/2 hours’ driving, climbing over the snow pass of Kambala(5030m), the dazzling Yamdroktso just lies several hundred meters below the road, and in clear weather is a fabulous shade of deep turquoise. Far in the distance is the huge massif of Mt. Nojin Kangtsang(7191m).After down from the mountain, there’s about 30km road along lakeside, with barley fields on the other side of the road. Leaving Yamdroktso is as spectacular as arriving, since you’ll cross the 5045m Karola, with its awesome roadside views of the Nojin Kangtsang Glacier. With the Glacier scene still exciting you, after about 90km, you get to Gyantse. There stands the 35m-high famous Kumbum, packed with exquisite Tibetan sculpture and paintings, a stunning architectural wonder in Tibet. Just 4km to Gyantse, there’s the Pala Farmland which used to belong to the slave-owner family of Pala. The well-kept Farmland can bring the family’s luxurious life back to your eyes. This site deserves a quick visit of 30 minutes. Then you can leave the small town of Gyantse. With Gyantse just fades away from your sight, Shigatse becomes clearer cause it’s just 1 1/2 hours’ driving (98km).

  11. Day 11 Shigatse -280km 4.5hrs- Lhasa. O/N in Lhasa

    Miles away from Shigatse, you can already see the gold tops of Tashilhunpo shinning under the sun. While Tashilhunpo’s magnificent outside leaves you gasp in admiration, the inside of this monastery introduces you more religious tranquility and sincerity. Just close Tashilhunpo is the Old Town of Shigatse, a great place to wander around: Nicely decorated Tibetan houses and interesting market and bazaar give you a vivid picture of local people’s life. Drive back Lhasa.

  12. Day 12 Lhasa - Chengdu

    Airport drop off to Lhasa airport, Service end.
